1 Slice of Sourdough
Dash of Milk (of choice)
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1tsp Ground Ginger
1tsp Butter (vegan if necessary)
½ tsp Honey / Maple Syrup
Toppings of choice, I went for Yogurt, Nuts and Raisins
Whisk one egg into a shallow bowl and add a dash of milk. Sprinkle over ½ tsp of cinnamon and ½ tsp of ginger and mix well.
Add ½ tsp of butter to a pan on a low heat. Soak the slice of bread in the egg mixture for 2 minutes, flipping throughout. Add the soaked bread to the pan once the butter has melted. Pan fry until golden on both sides.
Whilst the French toast is cooking, slice the banana. Add the other ½ of the butter to a small frying pan, along with the honey / maple syrup. Once the combination has melted, gently add the bananas. Sprinkle over the remaining ground spices and flip the bananas. Cook until softened.
Serve the French toast, top with yogurt, nuts and raisins and the caramelised bananas!
