1 Tin of Haricot Beans
1 Tin of Cannellini Beans
1 Large Red Onion
2 Cloves of Garlic
1/4 Large Red Chilli
1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1tsp Paprika
1/2tsp Cumin
1tsp Honey
2tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
1 Tin of Chopped Tomatoes
1 Large Bunch of Fresh Basil
2 Cloves of Garlic
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
Toast of Choice
Avocado - Optional
Method
Drain, rinse and combine both tins of beans.
Finely chop the onion.
Crush the garlic, chop the chilli and add to a pan with olive oil. Gradually add the onions and fry until golden.
Spoon in the ground spices and mix well.
Add the beans to the pan and stir with the spicy onions.
Pour the sauce ingredients into a blender and blitz before adding to the pan with the beans. Spoon in the honey. Stir then simmer for 15 - 20 minutes.
Toast the bread, chop the avo then add the beans to the toast! Yum! Beans on toast with a kick!
