Cacao & Raspberry Overnight Oats
40g Oats
1tsp Chia seeds
1tsp Cacao Powder
1/2tsp Cinnamon
1tsp Goji berries
85ml (approx) of milk of choice
Toppings of choice, I went for:
Raspberries
Yogurt
Homemade Jam (see recipe in separate post)
Coconut flakes
Method
Add your oats to a jar/bowl with the chia seeds and stir.
Mix in the goji berries and then sprinkle over the cinnamon. Add the cacao powder and mix thoroughly.
Pour over your milk until the mixture is covered. Leave in the fridge overnight.
Stir in the morning and add extra milk if required.
Spoon on toppings of choice and enjoy!
Carrot Cake Overnight Oats
40g Oats
1tsp Chia seeds
½ Grated carrot
1tsp of Sultanas/raisins
1tsp Ground cinnamon
1tsp Ground ginger
1tsp Walnuts/pecans
1tsp Pumpkin seeds
85ml (approx) of milk of choice
Toppings of choice, I went for:
Yogurt
Nuts
Grated carrot
Method
Add your oats to a jar/bowl with the chia seeds and sultanas.
Grate the carrot and add it to the mixture with the ground spices.
Stir and then pour the milk over the mixture until it is covered.
Add the nuts and seeds to the top of your oats and leave covered in the fridge overnight.
In the morning, stir and then add toppings of choice before eating.
Who doesn't like carrot cake for breakfast?! Enjoy!
Apple Pie Overnight Oats
40g Oats
1tsp Chia seeds
½ Grated apple
2 Chopped Dates
1tsp Flaxseed
1tsp Cinnamon
85ml (approx) of milk of choice
Toppings of choice, I went for:
Diced baked apple
Yogurt
Almond butter
Method
Add your porridge oats to a jar/bowl with the chia seeds and chopped dates.
Grate the apple and add it to the mixture.
Sprinkle over the dried spices, stir and then pour the milk over the mixture until it is covered.
Add the flaxseed to the top of your oats and leave covered in the fridge overnight.
Stir in the morning before adding the toppings. My toppings were yogurt, almond butter and baked apple.
Baked apple:
Dice your apple into small cubes, lightly drizzle in maple syrup/honey and add a sprinkle of cinnamon. Grease a baking tray with coconut oil and then bake in the oven for 15minutes on 180c.
